What is Fusion Voting?
Connecticut is one of only a handful of states that still allows fusion voting. That means more than one political party can endorse the same candidate, and voters can choose which ballot line to support them on.
When you vote for your favorite candidate on the Working Families Party line, that vote counts toward their total, and it strengthens the WFP. The more votes cast on the WFP line, the more leverage we have to push elected officials to govern boldly for working families, not the ultra-wealthy and well-connected.
Fusion voting helps the Working Families Party build our own party on top of the two-party system in Connecticut and across the U.S., and it's working. We organize outside the two parties, then we recruit and train candidates who will fight for working people up and down the ballot. We take on elections from City Council to Senate, wherever there's a path to win, and where winning will advance a people's agenda, elevate visionary candidates, and help build the multiracial movement we need to win the Connecticut and America we deserve.
